“I began at TTEC as a customer service agent,” says James. “I always tried to be number one. I focused on my performance mostly. But, the support and togetherness I experienced showed me a new way of working. I learned that inspiring others to succeed is as important as inspiring yourself.”

He learned this new perspective on success from TTEC leaders. “Mentorship has played a crucial role in my growth,” continues James. “My colleagues and leaders have guided me to find my best form.”

“I began to care about more than just personal rewards, incentives, or recognition,” shares James. “If I focus on just my own goals, I can easily get lost in individual motivation.”

And, that’s how James’ career built momentum – aimed towards group success. “As I continued to new roles such as Trainer and then Team Lead, I helped associates maximize their performance,” says James. 

“I gave as much continuous support as I could lend – the same thing my colleagues and leaders did for me before. We pay it forward at TTEC!

“Now, as Global Learning and Leadership Development Senior Trainer I focus on promoting a growth mindset in leaders and those aspiring for leadership roles. I want to inspire them to radiate passion and push associates to bring out the best in themselves.”

James shares: “Growing and climbing the corporate ladder is never fully comfortable. Nothing goes perfectly. You have to be ready to receive feedback you don’t like. Be ready to be uncomfortable 

“Thankfully, TTEC makes that experience easier with our positive work environment. Personally, I don’t mind rebuilding myself repeatedly to achieve the best version of myself.

“I embrace different ideas and new feedback to continually improve and grow throughout my career. I love continuous learning at TTEC. This attitude helps me build resilience and perseverance.”
